INTERIM_MEETING_REPORT_ Reported by Deirdre Kostick/Bellcore Minutes of the SNA NAU Services MIB Working Group (SNANAU) The SNANAU Working Group held an interim meeting on 29 June 1994 to review the proposed MIB objects for APPC (posted to the list on 17 June). APPC MIB Proposal Overview and Review Mike Allen presented an overview of the current APPC MIB proposal. A summary of issues and recommendations follows: o Traps need to be defined for SNMP-based management of APPC. It was suggested to start with existing alerts. o Should the MIB support event logs for conversations (i.e., instead of the conversation table) and for sessions (including start/stop times)? The MIB should contain sufficient information to ``map'' sessions to specific links. o Link station information needs to be added. o The appcTpOperTable should be merged with the appcConvTable. o How should the end point of a conversation be represented when you do not have a TP name yet? New Co-Editor Bill Kwan will be working as co-editor with Zbigniew for the next iterations of the APPC MIB. Thanks to Mike Allen for all his work in creating the APPC MIB drafts. Next Steps An Internet-Draft reflecting the changes discussed at this meeting, plus comments received by 12 July 94, will be posted on 18 July 94.
