The minutes of the March 6 Teleconference were approved. Steve to place in public archives. 2. The IESG approved publication of XDR: External Data Representation Standad as a Draft Standard. Steve to send announcement. 3. The IESG approved publication of Basic Socket Interface Extensions for IPv6 as an Informational document. Steve to send announcement. 4. The IESG approved creation of the WWW Distributed Authoring and Versioning (webdav) Working Group in the Applications Area. 5. The IESG approved creation of the SNMP - Version 3 (SNMPv3) Working Group in the Operations & Management Area of the IETF modulo minor edits to be made prior to announcement. Mike will be the primary AD for this WG. 6. The IESG approved creation of the Telnet TN3270 Enhancements (tn3270e) Working Group in the Applications Area of the IETF. 7. Allyn reported that she would contact the author of TCP Control Block Interdependence with suggestions to be incorporated. Steve to send note to RFC Editor requesting the document not be published as is, but that an update is anticipated. 8. Harald said he would contact the authors of Update of Korean Character Encoding for Internet Messages . Steve to request the RFC Editors not publish the document. 9. The IESG felt that publication of Practical Approach to Improving Scalability and Interoperability of SNMP Applications shpuld receive wider review and be brought into the IETF. Steve to convey this to the RFC EDitor. 10. Steve reviewed his plans to move forward with his plan for host-independent IETF meetings, with an objective of being able to reserve large hotels further in the future. When asked, Steve reported that hosts are still a necessity for non-US IETF meetings. 11. The IAB has requested that announcements be sent when IESG meeting minutes are made available. Steve said he would handle this. Brian asked that Steve also send out announcements for IAB meeting minutes. Steve said he would handle this as well. There was also some discussion on announcing when IETF meeting minutes were received. Steve said he'd make sure periodic announcements would be sent listing all groups whose minutes have been received. 12. Frank said goodnight.
