The minutes of the April 11 Meeting were approved. Steve to place in IETF Shadow directories. 2. The IESG deferred action on the Transmission of IPv6 Packets over FDDI Networks and Token Ring Networks, as more time for discussion and evaluation is necessary. 3. The IESG decided to return Definition of X.500 Attribute Types and an Object Class to Hold Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs) to the working group for text changes (primarily editorial or to clarify certain sections) and requested a revised Internet-Draft be submitted. No second last call is required; the document action is placed On-Hold. 4. The IESG approved publication of An LDAP URL Format as a Proposed Standard. 5. The IESG also approved publication of A String Representation of LDAP Search Filters as a Proposed Standard, but with a change to Section 4. Specifically, change from: If a must contain one of the characters '*' or '(' or ')', these characters should be escaped by preceding them with the backslash '\' character. to If a must contain one of the characters '*' or '(' or ')' or '\', these characters should be escaped by preceding them with the backslash '\' character. The Protocol Action announcement will be appended to include the above change as a Note to the RFC Editor. The note will also state that the document author agrees with the change. 6. The IESG approved publication of A DNS RR for specifying the location of services (DNS SRV) as an Experimental Protocol. 7. The IESG had no problem with the publication of Native ATM Support in the Internet , but request the document title be changed to "Native ATM support for ST2+" 8. The IESG had no problem with the publication of Greek Character Encoding for Electronic Mail Messages as an Informational RFC. 9. The IESG briefly discussed Guidelines for IETF Meeting Sites that was submitted for publication as a BCP RFC. Action was deferred for further discussion. It was noted that this document should be published as an Informational document and should include an IESG note stating that the document is an opinion of the authors and does not reflect the opinion of the IETF.
