Status: The individual issue seems to be resolved but there is a general issue of how to deal with this going forward. IANA still needs guidance. Status: IANA sent mail to the IESG and token was passed to the Applications Area Directors. [related IANA ticket #27825 and Secretariat ticket #92671]. The IESG approved Graham Klyne as the designated expert for RFC 3864. o Ted Hardie to work with IANA to determine if there is, or needs to be, guidance on the acceptable characters for use in service strings registered with IANA. The IESG confirmed that the experts for draft-ietf-hubmib-rfc3636bis will be the Operations and Management Area Director (Dan Romascanu) and the HUBMIB Working Group chair (Bert Wijnen). 6.2 Wordsmithing of Approval (Ted Hardie) The management issue was discussed. 6.3 Confirmation of IAOC Candidate (Cullen Jennings) The management issue was discussed. The IESG confirmed the IAOC candidate proposed by the NomCom. One IESG member recused himself from the discussion. 6.4 Ed Lewis as Designated Expert for RFC2929bis experiment (Mark Townsley) The management issue was discussed. The IESG approved Ed Lewis as the designated expert for the RFC 2929bis experiment. 6.5 New revision of the AD sponsoring guidelines (Jari Arkko) The management issue was discussed. Jari Arkko will submit a new version of the AD Sponsoring Guidelines to address IESG comments. 6.6 Statement to IANA (Ted Hardie) The management issue was discussed.
