Topology Engineering (tewg) --------------------------- Charter Current status: concluded working group Chair(s): TBD <> Operational Requirements Area Director(s): Scott Bradner Michael O'Dell Mailing lists: General Discussion: To Subscribe: Archive: Description of Working Group: The Topology Engineering Working Group monitors and coordinates connections between networks, particularly routing relationships. \begin{itemize} \item Monitor interconnectivity among national and international backbones and mid-level networks. \vspace{.2in} \item Monitor interconnection policies with a view of moving toward a common scheme for managing interconnectivity. \vspace{.2in} \item Act as a forum where network engineers and representatives of groups of networks can come together to coordinate and tune their interconnections for better efficiency of the Internet as a whole. \end{itemize} Goals and Milestones: Ongoing Reports to the Internet community will be given reflecting what we learn each quarter. This periodic report will be of use to the IETF, to FARnet, and to the CCIRN members.
